Google wanted a launch site for the Bay area Impact Challenge that would appeal directly to the community they were serving.
To do this we hit the streets of San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose, and interviewed community members at schools, food banks, non-profits and parks. We selected portraits of individuals with the most interesting and genuine perspectives to highlight them on the launch site. Each portrait revealed a quote from the user as well as their name and neighborhood.
We compiled the footage from these interviews to create a short video that lived on the launch site. The video reveals that the bay area individuals are passionate about their neighborhoods and want to see them preserved by improving classrooms, fighting crime, providing affordable housing and protecting the environment.
